FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) is the flagship high school STEM program combining the intensity of competitive sports with the rigors of real-world engineering. Teams of students in grades 8–12 work alongside professional mentors to design, build, and program industrial-sized robots under strict time and resource limits. Beyond hardware and software development, participants gain practical experience in fundraising, marketing, team branding, and community outreach. Competing in fast-paced field games, students cultivate valuable leadership and workforce skills while unlocking access to college scholarships.
